That's well-put. I agree with what you wrote about Hamas and think that we walk
a fine line between critiquing strategy and tactics versus criticizing the
historical victims of Israeli settlement.
I think we also must critique the strategy and tactics of our domestic
movement: The "Free Palestine" slogan is not meaningful to most people in the
US or something that people in the US can realistically demand. "End Government
Support of Israel" is meaningful and something we can realistically demand -
even if it's something that we cannot realistically expect.
