I'm sorry, I'm used to calling the new one with Mason2 name.

In any case HTML::Mason is today still usable in the projects born before the 
birth of Mason2+Poet and migration is not painless ;-)

I don't use Mason2, but in Poet tutorial 
(https://metacpan.org/pod/Poet::Manual::Tutorial) I noticed that with Poet the 
equivalent of "autohandler" is called Base.mc

Perhaps you use Catalyst or Dancer or other frameworks with Mason2 so the 
solution changes according to them.
