You definitely have to download the patch for the proper kernel. You
mentionned that you downloaded kernel 2.2.14, but tried to use the 2.2.11
patch. That won't work. You'll have to grab the patch for 2.2.14. They
are all on that VPN HOWTO page. I've run the various patches on several
different kernel versions, and I never get a failed hunk. Good luck!
