I have a linux masquerading machine in my office. Interface 'eth0' is connected with
ISP via DSL Line, and their communication protocol is PPPoE.
Everything works fine except FTP utility. I found the answer that is related to "MTU "
in Microsoft Knowledge Base.
So I changed Win98,WinNT and other computers into 'MTU size = 1490' at the registry.
After that they works well.
However, there are many computers in my office. I can't announce that "All you guys
using Windows OS need to change MTU size manually" and "All the linux user need to
type like "ifconfig eth0 mtu 1490". This kind of job is so messy, I think. Is there
any method to use FTP in local side without modifying MTU value. I mean, Can we be
happy by just patching one linux masquerading machine. I really hope so.

Please ~~~~ help me.

Thanks in advance.
