Hi,
I've got a linux box as router (kernel 2.2.12).
I user ipchains for masquerading.
I use 'ipmasqadm portfw' to forward packets to port 80 of the router to a
windows machine running a webserver on the local network.
At the moment the webserver can be reached from the internet.
However, from the local network, I cannot reach the webserver by addressing
it via URL (or external ip address) of the router. This problem is als
described in paragraph 6.8
of the Linux IP Masquerade HOWTO. In this howto it is suggested to run
'redir'
to solve this problem.
I tried running:
redir --laddr=external_ip_router --lport=80 --caddr=internal_ip_webserver -
-cport=80&
But this doesn't work.
However I can reach the webserver from the internal network when I use the
interal_ip_router as URL.
Do you have suggestions to solve this problem?
TIA
Jan Vlug.
