Sounds more like a config problem, either at blueyonder or at your end - I'm
using
diald+ipmasq through blueyonder for internet access, and it's working ok...
RH6.2
instead of SuSE, but that's about it for differences. Certainly
masquerading and
blueyonder work together.

(Except that their time server always refuses connections, and they keep on
telling me it's fine.)

Can you telnet out (not from the gateway) on port 80? e.g.
telnet www.microsoft.com 80
followed by
GET /ms.htm
should flash a load of html past you.

If this works, then the problem is probably with your browser - what proxy
settings
are you using? The standard for blueyonder is webcache.cableinet.co.uk:8080
for ftp
and http. It may be that you're set up to use a different ISP's proxy, and
they're blocking
you. If you're using the blueyonder software they supply, it might be
that - I tried installing
it, and it quite happily seemed

This doesn't sound right, as they don't seem to be using any kind of
transparent proxying -
quite a few times recently, their proxies appear to have gone down, and
turning proxy off
at my end solved the lack of access - if they were redirecting requests,
this wouldn't have
worked. Also, I do tend to get significant speed increases using the
proxies (when they work)
which suggests that my port 80 traffic doesn't get redirected. Sounds more
like standard
helpdesk "Are you using windows 98? Are you using the cable internet
software?" stuff.

You actually wait *that* long for them to come back? How long are your
masquerade timeouts
set to - sounds like quite a long delay.

Hope some of this may be helpful, anyway!
