if you have setup a secure linux installation, that probably
means there is no compiler on the system, or that various
libraries or headers are missing. compile on another system,
then install onto the remote system, either with nfs or an
smb mount or by tarring up the source tree after compiling,
copying it to the secure system, untarring and installing.
or you could just download the precompiled tripwire package.
