I am trying to establish a connection to a MetaFrame XPS server running
under Win2K from my PC (also Win2K). My PC is behind a Linux masquerading
server.
The masq archive search facility does not seem to be working at the moment,
but I vgrepped some of the older messages and someone did say that there was
no special configuration to make Citrix work.
If I telnet from a DOS prompt I get the ICA connect string returned from the
MetaFrame server, but if I try to use the ICA client application to connect
it tries for 10 seconds or so then reports that the server is not available.
Connecting thru a non-masqueraded PC (separate Internet connection) does
work, so the MetaFrame server *is* up and running.
Does anyone know if MetaFrame XPS needs any special configuration? Tyhe
other post to this list was sufficiently long ago that the XPS version had
not been released then. I was wondering if MF XPS didn't like connections
coming thru a masquerading server perhaps? The firewall is fairly open, and
I can get a response from telnet, so I don't think I am blocking a port
which MetaFrame needs.
Oh, and if i run iptraf I can see a connection gets established, but is
dropped after only about 2K of data transfer.
