Assuming eth0 is connected to the Internet and
eth1 is connected to the internal network..
Log into the Linux box via the CONSOLE and
run the command:
tcpdump -i eth0
Now, from that internal MASQ machine, send out those
pings. Do you see them going out on tcpdump? Do
you see any replies?
