I would make two suggestions:

- add a logging parm to any firewall rules that you think may be involved,
then consult your system logs after attempting to access the sites in
question

- put the "strong" rule set side temporarily and go to a simpler one,
bulding back up to the strong set, testing access to the sites as you add
rules back, until you add the one that blocks access.
