Hi, I am a new comer to this list. I have setup a private LAN with a linux ip masq gateway a linux-2.2.19 box using ipchains. everything is ok, except that I am having trouble to use a voice conversation software in a client machine belonging to the private LAN, located behind the NAT router. The problem is that when I call a outside public host using the software, the connection can be established, but only outgoing voice packets are transferred, that is, I can't receive any incoming voice packets. What is the problem? and how can I tackle it? Can I just add some port forwarding rules in the /etc/init.d/rc.firewall ? If so, how can I find which port I should specify? (as the voice conversation software is a proprietary software) And, the software is not a very popular one, so I can't find it in IP Masquerade application collection webpage. Do I need to write a module to support incoming voice packets transfer? If so, any good reference or howto I can follow to start the development? Thanks for any suggestions!! -- regards, ZM _______________________________________________ Masq maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Admin requests can be handled at http://www.indyramp.com/masq-list/ -- THIS INCLUDES UNSUBSCRIBING! or email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] PLEASE read the HOWTO and search the archives before posting.
