Hey Everyone,
I spent almost 8hrs last night on the new IP MASQ HOWTO but I
need to ask ALL of you to read this email and reply to these
few questions. All of these answers will show up in
the Linux IP Masquerading HOWTO and/or the Linux MASQ WWW site.

- MTU Patch on <http://www.tor.shaw.wave.ca/~ambrose/masq-mtu-fix-0.3.patch.gz>
Is anyone using this patch? Can anyone confirm that it does
or does NOT fix our MTU issue.
--
Bug Alert : There is a bug in the 2.0.x masquerade code that causes
improper handling of fragments if the MTU and MRU sizes are set to
different numbers, even if the ALWAYS DEFRAGMENT kernel option is
set. You can either apply this MTU patch or set the MTU and MRU on
your Internet connection to be equal. Thanks for John Hardin for
the info.
- What current Linux distriburions support IP MASQ by default in
their modules? I appologize if I missed any distributions
and/or release versions. Please email me if you can add any
distrobutions or know which distros support MASQ by DEFAULT.
Re-compiling the kernel does NOT count! :)
