Hello,
I'm not sure this is a pure Masq problem, and if it's not, my apologies.
I have an ADSL connection to my ISP. I have a Linux (Redhat 5.2 using
IPFWADM) firewall machine that also is the box used to masq my internal
network (2 nic's). I leave both the firewall and ADSL modem on 24/7. I've
noticed recently that when I try to access the Internet from a client
(NT/Win95/Linux) after about a day or so, I can't ping out to the Internet
(although my connection to the firewall box is still good). The firewall's
also cannot ping out. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a
methodology to use to determine if this is: 1) an ISP/ADSL connection
problem, 2) a problem in the config of my firewall, or 3) something in the
masq setup?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob
