Sorry, yes I do have a DHCP server setup. I only have one linux box
setup. The NT box is just a normal NT workstation.
I did not mean that it causes problems on the LAN if I use dhcp, I meant
that if I change anything else it will cause problems with connecting to
the LAN such as removing the "Enable DNS for windows resolution"
checkbox will force me to use full names to connect to other computers
("ping comp_name" doesn't work and has to be changed to "ping
comp_name.domain" thereby breaking some scripts.
When I change the NT workstation to use DHCP it can still ping the linux
box that has masq running, but when I try to ping an internet address I
get "Destination host unreachable"
I hope this clears thing up a bit. If not just ask for more
clarification.
