You have an ingenious solution here, but it is a bit rough around the
edges.  Here's what I would do:

    At ip-up time, write the current IP address into a file.  I put it
in /etc/ppp/IP.  Delete the file at ip-down time.

    At message-receive time, write the current gaming PC's address into
another file.

    Either at ip-up time or at message time, if both pieces of
information are available, flush the port-forwarding rules and recreate
them from the information you have.
