I recently converted my system to RedHat 6.1 and started using ipchains for
my firewall. I took the ipchains firewall script from the TrinityOS page and
mosts things are working fine.,

My main problem right now is getting outgoing ftp to work.

Here's what i'm getting:
----
ncftp /home > set passive on
ncftp /home > put /etc/hosts
put /etc/hosts: server said: hosts: Permission denied.
ncftp /home > set passive off
ncftp /home > put /etc/hosts
put /etc/hosts: PORT failed.
---

the ls command seems to work fine in passive mode but not in normal.

any tips would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
Bill
