i have a dsl connection through sympatico, a large canadian ISP. There are
a lot of linux users who use the service and some of them have written
pppoe clients for linux etc... about the question at hand, you have to
manually configure all of the internal machines to have a maxMTU of at most
1492. Perhaps some of this information should be bent into the next
upgrade of the FAQ.
