I know this is a bit off the topic but since we've got several gurus in
here I thought maybe someone might be able to help me.

I've got two linux machines linked together via a ppp modem connection and
one is masqueraded by the other. Currently they are running at 28.8. I
have recently acquired a couple of Telebit Worldblazer modems, which are
SUPPOSED to do close to 70kbps via compression over a POTS line.

Is there a utility (either linux or windows based) that can accurately
measure the bandwidth through a modem to modem connection? I want to see
if these other modems will actually improve the bandwidth of the system

Thanks!
