We are in the middle of trying to, yet again, fix MASQ's MTU
bug. To make the story REAL short, make your MTU 1500.

The only services that will benefit from a smaller MTU is
things like TELNET and on-line games. To be honest, a MTU
of 1500 isn't that much slower.
