There's a checkbox in the ICQ preferences menu (under connection) called
"always use real ip". You should uncheck this box. I believe this forces
the server to use the ip of the incoming connection as your IP, instead of
the one provided by your client.
This works for me, but i use ipautfw instead of socks so YMMV.
