I have a small problem that may be myself not thinking correctly... I have
IP Masq. setup and running perfectly. Well, I got a little tired of the
setup so I started looking into Squid. Seemed like a harmless idea. Well, I
am having problems having Squid and IP Masq work together. I want the
caching capabilities without having to configure all of the browsers on the
internal network to a specific port. I assumed things would be simple and
placed the http portion on port 80 and not the default of 3180. Well after
using tcpdump and looking at the squid logs it appears that I am not
caching a thing. I switched it to the default port and changed the browser
settings and it started caching... Basically is there a way to disable IP
Masq. on port 80 only so I can have the caching. IP Masq seems to override
Squid when port 80 or any other common port comes in. Is this possible?! Am
I thinking correctly?
I appreciate the help,
Doug
