Well, since the issue is "not being able to ftp from a client through a 
masq enabed machine, if feel it is not "off-topic..."  and since he told me 
to look at the masq faq, then i am assumng it is on topic

Not having seen Mr Kravitz reply to you I can only guess, but playing 
devils
advocate perhaps what he was really objecting to was the off-topic nature 
of
the question.  This is the masq mailing list and perhaps your question 
might
have been more appropriate for another list.
