My question - how is a medevac helo better than a regular ground paramedic unit? (this question relates back to the Rindge NH crash) At the BMF FAQ, I dont see any mention of having any special equipment related specifically to trauma injuries. Maybe the infusion pump - but I dont really know the significance of infusion pumps for trauma patients. If Boston MedFlight carries whole blood - that might be 1 tool they would have that ground medics might not have. But it seems that a small refrigerator is all that is needed to make it available to ground units. Another question - how come helos never fly patients to Lahey Clinic in Burlington? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
