State Police might have 1 to 4 helos working. Media might have several helos working also. Since there are no dedicated 'air to ground' channels for public safety in the Boston area, it will be necessary for the helos to find the most appropriate local channel to use when involved in a emergency situation. Or perhaps the MSP can patch a 800 Mhz TalkGroup to a local UHF channel somehow. They seem to have this capability although it is extremely rarely used.
