Also - probably the local radio broadcast stations were mentioning the incident. This would be heard mostly by people traveling in cars or listening in homes. Many people in the highrise buildings in Boston might have no clue that anything is going on at Logan unless they are signed up to receive breaking news alerts from local news media outlets (TV, radio, newspaper, etc) There have been no official Emails from the state or local government AFAIK.
