seems to me that just create way too much commotion with the siren - they are on a highway - traffic is moving fine - it is raining - they are in the wrong lane passing cars so they can save 1 second in response time if that - is it really worth it? they enter the highway with the siren blaring - if just 1 person slams on the brakes, its all over passing the long line of queed up vehicles - no need for siren then - even when cutting off the oncoming car all the noise pollution and needless danger - for what?
