10 page pdf - photo of each volunteer fire station - they are all identical basically the lettering probably says "Group 1 Outpost 4" etc - Google has some of that info on Google Maps - sometimes it is in English - sometimes it is only in Japaneese - if someone got really motivated they could probably compare these photos to the Google maps, and see if the lettering on the stations matches the lettering on the maps ------------------------------------ Ome is one of the cities in Tokyo Prefecture (Tokyo State) - it is a bedroom community for downtown Tokyo - population might be 400,000 IIRC Ome is protected by the Tokyo FD aka Tokyo Metropolis FD aka Tokyo Prefecture FD Ome has only 3 paid stations - but it has 40 volunteer stations AFAK the vols are dispatched by Tokyo FD and operate on the Tokyo FD radio system - but I dont think they have any SCBA Bottom line - there is just one telephone number for reporting fire and ambulance emergencies in Japan - it is 119 - (except that maybe some US military bases have their own numbers - and maybe some large industrial complexes might have their own fire phone numbers - etc) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
