"Cal Fire" is the statewide (forest) fire department in California.
They have primary wildfire control responsibility on all land in State
Responsibility Areas.

What does this mean?

Basically it means that Cal Fire is responsible for extinguishing
wildfires on ALL lands in the state - except for -

federal lands

Indian lands

city lands

any land owned by Martians - you know what I mean - someone is gonna
say that 1 acre in SLO County is owned by the ghost of Walter Winchel
- and is not SRA - whatever

===============

federal lands are known as "FRA" - federal responsibility area

city lands are LGA - local responsibility area

not sure about fire districts - generally they are SRA AFAIK - maybe a
shared responsibility of some sort - sometimes - somewhere - maybe
they are LGA actually
