I just noticed on page 31 of 201 at
http://cdfdata.fire.ca.gov/pub/fireplan/fpupload/fpppdf1596.pdf -
Company 100 and Station 100 are both Dry Creek - and both are Placer
County Fire - which tells me that there is 1 fire station at Dry Creek
and it is staffed by Cal Fire firefighters (working as Placer County
FD employees) and it is staffed by Volunteers from the Placer County
FD operating as the Dry Creek Company - apparently the Cal Fire guys
staff 1 Type 1 Schedule A county owned or locally owned engine - and
the vols staff whatever else is in the station

that makes sense

I think it is common in California for the vols to be called "Company
XX" - I have heard that terminology up north in Shasta County also -
the CDF engines are typically dispatched as "Engine XXXX" - the Cal
Fire station name is not typically used I think
