most colleges have police or safety officers - there is a on campus 24/7 dispatch center that is connected to blue phones and cameras - some dispatch centers can lock all the doors on campus instantly - many dispatch centers can receive all fire alarms and emergency alarms on campus - most have alerting systems using computer apps - most colleges have a 10 digit telephone number for reporting emergencies and most somewhat insinuate that 911 should be called also
some campus safety / police will transport students to medical clinics - or do safety escorts / transports most campus safety forces respond to medical emergencies with cpr and basic first aid - some probably have defibs also - probably narcan also A major difference between campus safety organizations is that some have full police powers and some do not. Those with 'full police powers' can make arrests (and we are pretty sure there are a million different legal angles on that simple statement).
