Hi,

a few questions:

1/ how large? Maybe could you send the file (if it is very big, just
compress it, text file have good compression rate), or at least tell us
the number of lines/characters (give us the result of the command "wc
<your file name>").

2/ have you tried the same cat with another terminal emulator? Do you
get a better result?
Not that mrxvt could not do better anyway if it's the same on another
console program; but at the opposite if it is really better elsewhere,
we will know that mrxvt can be really improved.

Anyway there is space to improve efficiency in the code. I hope I could
work on this.
