Hello, yes mrxvt could definitely be optimized. But anyway, 30 000 lines of around 100 characters, we won't keep this all in mrxvt buffers. With the other consoles, can you scroll back to the beginning of the output once the cat is ended?
Anyway I will probably make some optimization tests in a close future. I am trying to improve the encoding support, and I came to think lately that this would go smoother if I did some cleaning in the structure of mrxvt first, as it is messy in some places.
