GI,
Thank you for your quick response. The exact sequence of keys is as
follows, each pressed only once:
<C-k>
<C-u> - success
<C-k>
<C-u> - over writes line with data cut on previous step (instead of
inserting a new line with this same data)
<enter> - moves cursor down one line
<enter> - inserts empty line where the previous <enter> should have
I tried switching the term to either xterm or rxvt, but still the same
behavior remains.:
mrxvt -tn xterm (or rxvt)
I tried removing the .Xresources file and restarting mrxvt, but still the
same behavior remains.
I installed mrxvt.terminfo
tic /usr/share/doc/mrxvt-0.5.4/etc/mrxvt.terminfo
$ ls -ltr ~/.terminfo/
total 12
drwxr-xr-x 2 myusername users 4096 Jun 21 14:48 r
drwxr-xr-x 91 myusername power 4096 Jun 21 14:48 ..
drwxr-xr-x 3 myusername users 4096 Jun 21 14:48 .
but still this same behavior remains. This is a gentoo system.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
John
