And regarding ur anecdote about a student is very true.. Even we come across such students. Dat means v r preparing d by hearting machines, which should not happen. Let's us link d Science concepts with daily life situations and teach them effectively. So Dat dey apply d knowledge in der daily life wat dey have gained in d class room.
