DTP work for lesson planning consumes lot of time and it is better to keep handwritten documents ready for the day's lessons. Computer work is needed when you want to create resources like question papers, classmates, presentations, excel sheets for office calculations, handouts, invitations, office documents, GeoGebra files etc. Lesson planning is good if it is done with hands as we can remember it well in the class room. If we do it in computer, there are are chances that we will preserve a soft copy of it for next years, which will have its own counter effects. Computers should be used for creative works, especially for ppt and ggb files, videos, artworks etc. However the teaching notes these days do not contain content part, the most essential thing one should carry towards classroom. The lesson plans available in the market or network do not give content information except a list of objectives, and the name of teaching materials you might use. This type of lesson plans are useful for show purpose. Olden times lesson plans have much to offer the content ideas rather than what a teacher or student has to do during the lesson. One good relief for teachers with the present day teaching notes is that it is easy to write, and it enough if one write one or two pages for entire chapter!
