It looks like these are already set in the "SVN way" (maybe cvs2svn did it):

 > svn propget svn:ignore .

build
dist
docs
*.pyc
.project
matplotlibrc
win32_static


...so it's probably safe to remove them, unless we plan to migrate back 
to CVS someday ;)
