I have not really kept up with the literature in distribution power
flow since then, but I am not aware of any earth-shattering
discoveries in the area since 1995.
Regarding your response to the list ... I expect you'll see it come
through eventually. Sometimes things get delivered out of order for
some reason.

Would you consider your PhD still up to date or can you give us a
reference to some Earth shattering discoveries since 1995?
By the way, my e-mail never made it to the list but your response did?
Is that how the list is set up or am I e-mailing to a wrong address?

Just don't ask for the code ;-)
My PhD thesis is available at
http://stealth.pserc.cornell.edu/ray/pubs/PhDThesis.pdf and does
cover a
number of algorithms including the backward/forward variations
mentioned. Unfortunately, the code was tightly coupled with a
proprietary data format and has never been refactored to be
independent
of that.

Hmmm,
Why don't you look at Ray's PhD dissertation. He discussed, I
think,
three different algorithms with detailed formulas, etc. He gives
all the formulas, data structures, etc. You could write your own
in no
time and no package can be more usable than your own. I know it was
done in 1995 but I do not expect any breakthroughs since then. Any
comments Ray?

I know it doesn't support, but I ask if somebody has it I want it

think we
can add it to matpower.

Hi All.
I am working on planning of Distribution networks using GA
for my
MSc Thesis.
In performing Load flow I encountered a problem when using
matpower.
In Radial networks the newoton raphson method converges and I
couldn't obtain Voltages, I have asked some people, they say I
must use forward backward loadflow,
Does someone has it's code in MATLAB M-File??????
I am really in need.
please send me it if you have it,
Thanks beforehand
thank you all
