It is really appreciated. Just a comment on the results being “garbage” in this case. With MATPOWER, this warning usually arises in the computation of the Newton update step in the MIPS interior point solver, meaning that the update step computed may be “garbage”. Typically, this results in non-convergence and success = 0. However, if these warnings arise on the way to a converged solution with success = 1, the OPF results should be correct. In this case, it just means that even though some of the update steps were “garbage” they still led “toward” a local minimum which was eventually found. -- Ray Zimmerman Senior Research Associate B30 Warren Hall, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY 14853 phone: (607) 255-9645 On Jan 21, 2014, at 11:10 AM, Abhyankar, Shrirang G. <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: Those messages are generated by MATLAB. You can turn them off by using the warning command. But I doubt if you want to suppress these warnings. Matlab's warning 'Matrix is singular to working precision' indicates the linear solver's (backslash operator) failure and as such the results obtained will be garbage. I could comment the logs which display the results but if my case cannot get converge, I see some messages regarding the mathematics solvers saying the matrix is singular for instance or etc. I would like not to see anything displayed.
