Abhishek, You have to provide the 'basecasedata' and 'targetcasedata' (run 'help runcpf' for the meaning of these terms) for runcpf. If no targetcasedata is provided to runcpf then it assumes that the base case is case9.m and uses an example targetcasedata created for this case. It will be also helpful for you to read the section on 'Continuation Power Flow' in the MATPOWER manual.
