Dear Sir/s, In the literature, I have found a paper titled "Multiarea State Estimation Using Synchronized Phasor Measurements", attached for your kind perusal. I'm trying to implement the IEEE 118 case system in accordance with the methodology proposed in the paper. But, I''m finding difficulties in developing a program (matlab based) for decoupling the case118.m (ref:MatPower) system into multi area system as mentioned in the paper. In the paper, Fig. 6 directly shows the multi area depiction of the case 118 system. Can anyone help me on how to prepare an algorithm so that, we can decouple the system into multi areas. Or else, Is there any provision in the MatPower to identify multi-areas in a system as mentioned in the paper.
