I switched to the pseudostreaming setup yesterday, with lighttpd, and
now playback is a lot better.
My only concern now is is that pseudostreaming isn't optimal with large
files and when we have more viewers this may become an issue.
I set the org.opencastproject.download.url to the url of the streaming
server with lighttpd, I should double check that the files are indeed
delivered from that server and not from jetty.
I'll have some more tests with red5 and lighttpd and will post my
findings to the list.

1.0.1 should have addressed the stuttering issue. Boise State had
encountered this in 1.0.0 and I think they aren't running into
problems with 1.0.1. Right? Osnabruck also has documented a psuedo
streaming approach using lighthttpd. I'm fairly certain that this
will work with 1.0.1 but it has not been tested. Can anyone from
Osnabruck confirm?
