We use the bluecherry cards in each of our capture agents. Anything with a
bt787 chipset should work like these cards, and they are inexpensive and fairly
common. We used to use the pvr series of card but, after some heat problems we
switched to software encoding. Withh264 support on the horizon I don't think
you should worry about trying to find a card that does mpeg2.

Subject: [Matterhorn-users] capture card

Hi does anyone have a recommendation for a video capture card. I guess it
should have MPEG2 encoding and ideally half height to fit into a small PC.
The refernce hardware PVR-350, HVR1600, etc don't seem to be available in
the UK

Thanks
Steven
