We use the bluecherry cards in each of our capture agents. Anything with a bt787 chipset should work like these cards, and they are inexpensive and fairly common. We used to use the pvr series of card but, after some heat problems we switched to software encoding. Withh264 support on the horizon I don't think you should worry about trying to find a card that does mpeg2.

I guess it should have MPEG2 encoding and ideally half height to fit into a small PC. The refernce hardware PVR-350, HVR1600, etc don't seem to be available in the UK Thanks Steven Steven Jack University of Glasgow Head of Multimedia Communications unit IT Services James Watt North Building Glasgow G12 8QQ Tel +441413303828 Mobile: +447870592166 [email protected] The University of Glasgow, charity number SC004401 _______________________________________________ Matterhorn-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.opencastproject.org/mailman/listinfo/matterhorn-users _______________________________________________ Matterhorn-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.opencastproject.org/mailman/listinfo/matterhorn-users
