I've just hit what appears to be a behaviour change in ffmpeg between
0.6 and 0.8.2. The symptoms are this:
- try process a recording with the presenter video in mpg with a invalid
frame rate (ours was 10 which is unsupported for mpeg 1/2)
The result is a workflow failure as when ffmpeg tries to output to the
mpg the frame rate is unsupported. "-strict unofficial" made no
difference here. The solution seems to be to encode at this point to a
more permissive codec (both avi and mp4 work) and this restores the
workflow and seems to have no affect on the outputs.
Does this seems a reasonable solution?
