We have recently bought the Epiphan Matterhorn Capture Device. After
using quite a little time to trace it down on the network (no mac
address was submitted with the box), we got it up and running with the
login credentials we luckily found on the mailing list for matterhorn.
We have configured it to connect to our core server, and set up the
streams as well as connected it to a laptop to provide a streaming source.
We can get the stream from the box using a laptop using vlc, but we
cannot see any traces of the box on the core server. It is my
understanding that the box should connect to the core server using the
core URL, and send a configuration file by itself. Is that a correct
assumption?
If so, do anyone have any suggestions on how to debug this and find out
what we are doing wrong?
We did not receive any documentation with the parcel the box was shipped
in. Is it correct that there are no documentation for it?
