The easiest way for you would be to install this:

downloadable VMs available
from http://aries.usask.ca/opencast/unofficial-vms/1.4-rc2/

From this link you need to download the .zip or .7z files and then decompress 
it.

And to run the VM you also need to install VMPlayer suitable for your OS, or 
VirtualBox if you use a Mac.
