The Opencast Unconference UC San Diego is fast approaching, and we have
a few deadlines to tell you about.
First, the deadline to reserve a room at the special meeting rate at the
Estancia La Jolla is December 28, 2012. Attendees who register under the
"Matterhorn Meeting" can reserve a room at the reduced price of $179 per
night (includes free wireless internet and hospitality package). This
beautiful hotel is very conveniently located adjacent to the campus. To
reserve a room, call (877) 437-8262 and identify yourself as part of the
"Matterhorn Meeting" group.
Second, we will begin the session proposal voting process as soon as
winter break is over. Those sessions receiving the highest votes will be
added to the schedule, so it's important that session proposals are
received by January 6th in order to allow people to vote. Information
about proposing a session can be found at http://unconference.opencast.org.
And of course, before doing any of the above, you must register to
attend! Visit http://unconference.opencast.org/register and create an
account to get started.
The Opencast Unconference will be held from January 30th through
February 1st on the campus of the University of California San Diego.
