Hi Markus, Hi Olaf,

maybe we could setup an central service for the mobile app, where adopters can register their Matterhorn installation. The mobile App would show the users a dialogue at the first start with all these installations to select their university.

By doing this the adopters may have a motivation to register their Matterhorn installation on our servers and we get better usage data.

this was the intention. One way to do it is to add the url to the Engage worker
endpoint as variable during compilation. After this the prepared app can reside
directly at the institution.
The second (build in) possibility is to use a sub-menue in the application
itself and set/switch the endpoint there (screenshot [1]). This url is saved by
the application.

@Nathan et.al: We are pretty close to finally get this Apple certificates for
deployments.
(some pictures from iPhone usage are also added to [1])

Hello Markus

A great farewell present from your team - congratulations to them. I'm not
familiar with technical details of mobile applications, but could an
institution customize this to its Matterhorn deployment and offer this as a
download for students (at least on Android)?

Regards

Olaf A.

Hi all,
i´m happy to announce the mobile version of the Matterhorn Engage tools (version
1.0).
The application has been developed as part of a student project here at the
University of Osnabrück.
Matterhorn2Go supports the following platforms:
iOS (iPhone&iPad), Android and Blackberry

See [1] for more information.

A demo video is showing some of the features:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plV0hRVWtwg

Build in features:
- Leverage Matterhorn search capabilities
- Endpoint can be configured directly in the app (users can switch different
Matterhorn installations and watch other videos)
- Multiscreen support (progressive and streaming content)
- Slide segmentation for fast navigation
- Mobile annotations

Compatibility:
Works with Matterhorn 1.1 up to 1.3 (Annotation feature only supported in 1.3)

Code repository (Matterhorn contrib):
http://opencast.jira.com/svn/MH/contrib/matterhorn2go

Open (known) issues :)
- Icon designs and testing on many different devices :)
- App stores (Apple + Android)

A version for your Android device - pointing to our Matterhorn project demo
server
- is available here [2].
Other versions for further platforms will be on hand as soon as i understand how
to make them available for testing...

Please report your findings/bugs and suggestions.

Best regards,
Markus Ketterl
