the processor was picked for its cost, abilities, and power envelope. changing
this requires retesting to make sure the system performs suitably. the power
envelope in particular makes the reference hardware especially well suited to
deployment in cabinets in classrooms.
maybe we should add a third party community contributed page where folks can
share their deployment machine
configurations, like we did for cameras?
but, unless someone is going to verify and triage questions on the new
hardware, i would object to changing it on the wiki.
