Hi Jonathan,
at first: we could only reproduce your problem with several hardware taht we
have here (epiphan, Logitech webcams, Happauge cards) if CM was active and the
CA was NOT recording. As soon as we were recording the problem did not occur.
So we disabled CM in idle mode.
So I expect that you are recording while people watch the CM page? If you could
see something when Matterhorn was idle your updated may have failed?
How high is the CPU load when you are recording? Do you have framedrops or
other errors in the recorded files?
If the crashing is dependend on the number of viewers we don't have a problem
with the CM function itself that does create the preview images once,
independend of the number of viewers, but we probably have a problem with the
CM web-interface or the REST-endpoint. With the admin interface we encountered
in previous releases similar problems too that we had not closed
http-connections that created memory leaks.
