It's not too hard to place html over a flash video player. The embed
code for the flash needs the wmode="transparent" option and you have to
set the z-index values for the layers correctly.
One of the challenges may be to assure that the annotations stay in
their place if the player is resized or the view of the multi-stream
videos is changed.
We would hope for more annotation possibilities than in youtube. It will
not be easy to get a good usability of such a feature. An easy authoring
is one of the main goals here. So this task is not only programming but
although much on UI design.
